QUALIFYING ORGANIZATIONS"
WHAT IT IS AND HOW YOU CAN HELP

WHAT IT IS

The State of Arizona., Department of Revenue provides a non-refundable income tax credit program designed to help non-profit agencies like River Fund with needed revenue to assist individuals and families suffering from all types of crisis situations and hardships. At the same time, taxpayers receive matching credit toward their Arizona taxes. In the case of single contributors, the maximum allowable contribution is $400 and for married couples filing a joint return, the maximum is $800.

Arizona taxpayers can take four (4) separate tax credits: 1) Donations made to Qualifying Charitable Organizations; 2) Public Schools; 3) Arizona Family Military; and 4) Private School Tuition. Each tax credit has a separate limit. This program for River Fund is under the "Charitable Organizations" category. You are not required to itemize your taxes to get the tax credit and your contribution qualifies for a federal tax deduction.
