DUCK PLUCK 2025 WAS A QUACKIN' SUCCESS!

Many thanks to everyone who braved the rainstorm and turned out for The great Duck Pluck Fun'raiser at Bullhead City Pool on Saturday, Nov. 15!

A total of 36 winning rubber duckies were plucked to award prizes worth a combined total of more than $7,000! Prizes may be picked up at the River Fund office at 1353 Hancock Road in Bullhead City, Arizona, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Winners will need to show an ID that matches the name on their duck adoption receipt to collect their prizes. Cash prize winners must complete a W-9 form and will receive payment by check. Winners listed by business or organization name received their duckies as part of their sponsorship; these folks should call the River Fund office at (928) 704-0039 to arrange to collect their prizes. Anyone with questions is welcome to call the River Fund office.

'Celebrity Duck Pluckers' scooped each winning rubber ducky out of Bullhead City Community Pool to select the winners of $3,750 in cash plus a gaggle of great prizes donated by area businesses and individuals

'Like water off a duck's back,' rain didn't ruffle 'The Great Duck Pluck Fun'raiser' event!

Pictured above are Bullhead City Mayor Rodney Head, Laughlin Justice of the Peace Gino Briscoe, Bullhead City Councilmember Tami Ring, Mohave County Supervisor Rich Lettman, Renee Yepez of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Laughlin Rotary, WestCare Vice President Cheryl DeBatt and Bullhead City Human Services Director Jeff Tipton braved sometimes heavy rain on Saturday to serve as ‘celebrity pluckers,’ selecting the winners of 36 prizes worth a combined total of more than $7,000 in ‘The Great Duck Pluck Fun’raiser,’ benefitting River Fund, Inc. the region’s primary nonprofit providing emergency and crisis assistance to families and individuals throughout the Colorado River Valley. Dressed in inflatable costumes meant to appear they were riding giant yellow ducks, the team used nets to scoop the winning rubber duckies from the Bullhead City Pool, with each duck carrying a number corresponding to a drawing ticket.

'The Great Duck Pluck Fun'raiser' is a quirky fundraising event dreamed up by the board of directors to support River Fund's mission to help families and individuals in the Colorado River Valley experiencing crisis or emergency situations. Our heartfelt thanks are due to each of our generous sponsors, their support was critical to make this event a quackin' success! Last year's event raised $14,300 for River Fund and we'll be announcing soon the fundraising total for this year's 3rd annual event.
