VETERANS POKER RUN – BULLHEAD CITY AZ – APRIL 27, 2027
OFFICIAL RULES AND PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT – MOTORCYCLE WAIVER AND RELEASE
- Proceeds of this event benefit the Veterans Assistance Fund of River Fund., Inc, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide assistance to individuals and families in the Colorado River region who are experiencing emergency or crisis situations.
- All participants must be 21 or older.
- This event begins at 8 a.m. on April 27, at Loyal Order of the Moose, 2620 Miracle Mile, Bullhead City AZ 86442. Participants will visit five (5) locations to pick up one playing card. Card pick-up locations will be provided to participants at the beginning of the event, with the route to travel south along Arizona Highway 95 to Topock/Golden Shores, Arizona, approximately 80 miles from start to finish.
- Winning poker hands will be determined based on the rules outlined in Hoyle’s Rules of the Game 3rd Edition. Cards must be turned in no later than 3:30 p.m. on the day of the event to be considered for prizes.
- Prize awards will occur at Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce,1251 Highway 95, Bullhead City AZ 86442 (at Bullhead Community Park) after 3:30 p.m. on the day of the event. Prizes may include gifts, gift certificates, gift cards or cash.
- Management reserves all rights; subject to change or cancellation at management’s discretion.
- Entrants agree to receive occasional emails on area events from River Fund, Inc. and its partners.
- Entrants agree that River Fund Inc. may take photographs and use their likeness in news artices, marketing materials, advertising or for other uses. Entrants authorize all such use of their likeness for no compensation.
- All riders and passengers [hereinafter referred to as “Participant”] must approve and authorize this agreement to participate in the event. A release must be signed by all riders and passengers at the start of the Poker Run to participate.
- It is the purpose of this agreement to exempt, waive and relieve Releases from liability for personal injury, property damage and wrongful death, including if caused by negligence, including the negligence, if any, of Releases. “Releases” include River Fund., Inc., Mayhem The Main Event and their affiliates, officers, directors, managers, employees, representatives, agents and volunteers, and their successors-in-interest, if any.
- I freely, on behalf of myself, my heirs and estate, fully and finally release and hold harmless Releases from any and all liability, claims, demands suits, whether known or unknown. I hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue the Releases from all liability to the participating rider and their passenger (if any), their personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin for any and all loss or damage, and any claim or demands therefore on account of injury to the person or property or resulting in death of Participant, whether caused by the negligence of the Releases or otherwise while participating in the event.
- I hereby agree to indemnify and save and hold harmless the Releases from any loss, liability, damage, or cost (including attorney’s fees) they may incur due to participating in the event and whether caused by the negligence of the Releases or otherwise.
- Participant acknowledges, agrees and understands that the use of motorcycles for the event may involve risks to participant’s person and property, including personal injury, disability, paralysis, or death, and damages which may arise therefrom, and that Participant has full knowledge of such risks.
- In accepting this document, I represent that I am fully knowledgeable of the danger and hazards associated with riding motorcycles. I certify that I am duly licensed and competent to operate a motorcycle in a safe manner, and the vehicle is in a safe operating condition. I will be riding on public highways and am solely responsible to determine the speed and operational characteristics of my motorcycle while participating in the ride. I hereby release and hold harmless Releases against any and all claims, causes of action, or any other liability of any kind arising from my activity of riding by motorcycle.
- I certify that I have no known physical or mental impairment that may affect my safety or the safety of the group and that I am 21 years old or older. I understand that the choice of wearing a helmet or other protective gear is solely my own and that I am responsible for my compliance with all state laws, including those regarding helmets. I certify that I will not at any time during the ride operate my motorcycle under the influence of any drug or alcohol. I also understand that this agreement is in force for the duration of the ride and covers any and all activities.
- Participant acknowledges and agrees that they will not use or operate any vehicle in violation or contravention of any City, County, State or Federal laws, statures, ordinances or regulation and shall be personally liable for all fines and penalties for traffic law violations.
- I hereby assume full responsibility for and risk of bodily injury, death or property damage due to the negligence of Releases or otherwise while participating in the event. By checking the box to accept this agreement and paying the event fees, Participants expressly acknowledge and agree that the foregoing release, waiver, and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law of the State in which it is operated in and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect. PARTICIPANT HAS READ AND VOLUNTARILY APPROVES THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, and further agrees that no oral representations, statements or inducements apart from the foregoing written agreement have been made.
